Tell Your Story

Do you have a story about defending professional integrity against external pressure?

Professionals for the Public Interest invites you to take part in Integrity at Work, our project where professionals can share their experiences, challenges or triumphs in defending professional integrity against external pressures.

How it Works
Submit a story about your experience defending professional integrity against external pressures. Our editorial team will edit and post these stories to the PftPI website. All stories must fit within the submission guidelines (see below).

Submission and Commenting Guidelines

  • Stories must be about your own personal experience.
  • Do not include any personal names or identifiers with stories or comments. For legal reasons, stories and comments including this information may be edited or not posted.
  • Do not include foul, discriminatory, defamatory, libelous, or threatening language in your post. Do not include racially, ethnically or otherwise objectionable language.
  • Do not include anything that is false or intentionally misleading.
  • No spam, flaming, flooding, advertisements or commercial solicitations. Commercial e-mail addresses and contact information are not allowed in postings, nor is promotional material of any kind.
  • Professionals for the Public Interest’s editorial staff will review and may edit all submissions before posting. Submitted stories will be reviewed within a week. Stories deemed irrelevant, potentially libelous or inflammatory will not be posted. Any personal names or other identifiers will not be posted.
  • Professionals for the Public Interest reserves the right to edit any comments to maintain the anonymity of the  commenter, to remove profanity or to remove any information deemed irrelevant, potentially libelous or inflammatory. Submissions may be edited for length and become the property of Professionals for the Public Interest.
  • Be brief. A good length is not more than 250 words. Long stories will be edited.
  • After completing the submission process, please allow a week for review.

Commenting on Stories
Anyone may comment on submitted stories. As with the Integrity at Work stories, Professionals for the Public Interest’s staff can choose to edit or not post a comment to maintain the anonymity of the participant. PftPI’s staff also may edit or not post comments deemed to be irrelevant, potentially libelous or inflammatory, or which include profanity.

A Note on Anonymity
Although we ask for your name, email address, and state, this information will not be made public on the website. Stories will display only the name alias you provide and the state you provide, along with the text you enter, subject to editing by Professionals for the Public Interest staff to maintain confidentiality.
