Actors’ Equity Association (AEA), founded in 1913, represents over 47,000 U.S. Actors and Stage Managers in live legitimate theatre. Equity negotiates nationally for wages and working conditions and provides numerous benefits, including employer-paid health and pension plans, for its members. Equity is a member of the Associated Actors and Artistes of America and FIA, an international organization of performing arts unions.
